1. What we publish
We publish buying guides, comparisons, deal information and retailer-linked product discovery. Guides are written to explain the decision before the transaction: what matters, what does not, what can change the total cost and which trade-offs suit different shoppers.
2. Source hierarchy
For factual claims, we prefer primary documentation such as manufacturer specifications, retailer terms, regulator guidance, legislation and recognised standards. Independent testing can add useful context where methodology is transparent. Community experience can highlight issues to investigate, but we do not treat a single social post or review as proof.
3. Affiliate relationships
Some retailer links may earn FINDGOBUY a commission at no extra cost to the shopper. Where a link or product placement is affiliate advertising, it will be made identifiable at the point where the shopper encounters it. A generic disclosure hidden at the bottom of a page is not our intended standard.
4. Organic ranking independence
Affiliate commission rate, conversion rate and network payout are excluded from our organic best-offer ranking. Where two offers are otherwise similar, useful shopper factors such as known total cost, stock, delivery, condition, warranty, returns, seller quality and data freshness may help distinguish them.
5. Sponsored placements
If FINDGOBUY accepts paid placement in the future, sponsored content will be separated from organic results and clearly labelled. Payment will not quietly turn an advertisement into an “editor’s pick”.
6. Price and saving claims
We aim to show the total unavoidable price when reliable data is available. If delivery or another mandatory charge is unknown, we label that limitation instead of presenting the item price as a guaranteed checkout total. Price-drop and historical-value claims should use comparable observations for the same market, currency, condition and variant.
7. Product variants and condition
Storage, colour, size, model year, new/refurbished/used condition and seller can materially change value. We aim to keep those differences visible rather than combining unlike offers simply to make a price look lower.
8. Reviews and star ratings
FINDGOBUY does not currently publish its own user-review score system. We will not launch one until moderation, provenance and anti-manipulation controls are strong enough to make the ratings useful.
9. AI and software assistance
Software and AI tools may assist with research organisation, feed processing, comparison logic and drafting. They are not treated as a source of truth. Factual claims intended to influence a buying decision should be checked against identifiable source material, and uncertainty should be stated rather than invented away.
10. Corrections and updates
Retailer programmes, specifications, prices and policies change. We date editorial reviews, refresh material when evidence changes and correct material errors when identified. Readers can use the contact page to flag a potential error.
11. Product samples and gifts
If a brand supplies a product, travel, access or another material benefit for future coverage, that relationship will be disclosed. Receiving a sample will not guarantee positive coverage.
12. What “independent” means here
Independent does not mean FINDGOBUY has no commercial model. It means editorial judgement and organic ranking are governed by shopper-facing rules rather than by which merchant pays the highest commission.
